Description

A beautiful vintage circa 1950s Beresford half hat with an exceptionally intricate surface of shimmering baby blue ribbon and iridescent sequins.

The hat is constructed in a classic close-fitting half-hat silhouette designed to curve over the crown of the head while leaving much of the hair visible. Layers of narrow textured ribbon are looped and worked across the structured foundation, interspersed with hundreds of small pale sequins that catch the light with a subtle silvery, champagne and pearlescent shimmer.

Rather than relying on a large flower, bow or veil, the entire surface becomes the ornament. The dimensional ribbon work creates an almost leafy or feathered texture, while the tiny sequins add sophisticated sparkle without overwhelming the design.
