A striking vintage circa 1950s hat by Angel, beautifully constructed in tightly woven ivory and black straw with a graphic two-tone pattern and a dramatic sweeping brim.

The hat features a rounded crown with the contrasting black weave worked throughout the natural ivory straw, creating a wonderful textured pattern that reads almost like a miniature houndstooth or tweed from a distance. The same intricate woven construction continues across the generous brim, giving the entire hat remarkable visual texture.

A wide band of sheer black chiffon wraps around the base of the crown and finishes with a soft scarf-like bow and trailing ends at the side. The fluid chiffon provides a beautiful contrast to the structured woven straw and adds movement to the silhouette.
