A beautifully distinctive vintage Brewster New York felt hat with a sculptural cloche-inspired silhouette and wonderful Art Deco-influenced ribbon detailing.

Crafted from Glenover Countess Felt, the hat is rendered in a rich blue with a softly rounded crown and dramatically shaped brim that dips and curves around the face. The structured felt creates an architectural silhouette while remaining wonderfully feminine.

Around the upper crown is a particularly striking decorative treatment of deep plum-purple grosgrain ribbon. Individual folded ribbon tabs are threaded through precisely cut openings in the felt, creating a rhythmic geometric pattern around the crown. A narrow self-felt band encircles the hat beneath the ribbon detailing and finishes at the side with whimsical curled felt loops and slender trailing ends.

The combination of saturated blue and aubergine-purple gives this hat an especially sophisticated color story and makes it much more unusual than a traditional solid-color felt hat.
